We are one week away from the start of another college football season. And I am ready to start my third season of covering the local teams here in Massachusetts and other parts of New England.

My pledge to you: I go to the games and sit in the stands, just like everyone else. I am not credentialed at this time. I live-tweet on X about what’s happening, free of bias (my alma mater dumped football a long time ago.) After the game, I will provide a recap and some other thoughts here. Think of it as old-school journalism.

On the pro level, it’s all about the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I’ve been a fan for 40 years now. Once their season gets going, I will provide thoughts on them (I don’t care about the preseason.)

I hope to provide some more college basketball coverage in the winter. It remains to be seen how much. But that’s down the road a bit.
