Well, so much for this season.  I don’t want to hear any more talk about “if the Bucs win their last 2 games, they can still win the division.”  After the last 3 weeks, does anyone really think that’s possible?

Today’s 23-20 loss to the Panthers in a battle for first place was more of the same: bad coaching, bad offensive playcalling, bad offensive line play, bad penalties at critical times, etc.  Wait a minute – they did kick it into the end zone to avoid any big kickoff returns.

All I heard about this week was the fact the Bucs had all their offensive weapons back at wide receiver.  OK then – why did Josh Grizzard only call 10 passes in the first half?  Why, when they had 1st and goal from the 4, did they run it three times in a row, especially after Mike Evans caught a touchdown down by the goal line earlier?  Why was Emeka Egbuka only targeted once until early in the 4th quarter, when he caught a 40-yard pass that didn’t yield any points?

And why did Bowles appear to be playing for a tying field goal on the final drive, instead of pushing the ball downfield and trying to win the game?  That’s Bowles for you.  The possible miracle ended when Evans went one way and Baker threw it the other.  Interception.  Game over.

Sense of urgency?  Nope – not with this team.

Hopefully, hopefully we are one week closer to Bowles (and Grizzard for that matter) being run out of town.  After a 6-2 start, Tampa Bay has lost 6 or its last 7.  There’s plenty of blame to go around, but the bulk of it falls on bad coaching.
