For the fifth year in a row, Endicott College is flying above the rest of the Conference of New England (CNE).  The Gulls turned a 7-point halftime deficit into a 28-point blowout victory in the second half.  They beat Curry College, 45-17, to win the title.

In the first half, the Colonels hung with the defending champs.  Montie Quinn had 166 of his 218 rushing yards in the first half, and scored the first touchdown of the game.  Late in the second quarter, Antony Santino connected with Matthew Bowen for a score.  Curry led 17-10 at the intermission.

The second half was a completely different story, with the Gulls dominating on both sides of the ball.  They outscored the Colonels, 35-0, the rest of the way.  Endicott scored five rushing touchdowns during that time, including two from Markys Bridgewater.  His 90-yard dash put the Gulls ahead for good.  He led all rushers with 233 yards.  Bryan Ferreira added 117 yards and a TD.  Quarterback Shea Lynch ran for a couple of scores.  Endicott rushed for 411 yards in this game, and ended up with over 600 yards of offense.

Endicott went undefeated in conference play, will find out Sunday who they’ll face in the Division III playoffs.

Curry finishes the season with an 8-2 record, 6-1 in the CNE.  The Colonels will wait to see if they’ll get an at-large bid to the postseason.
