Curry running back Montie Quinn continues his magical – and historic – season. And his team remains in first place in the CNE, tied with Endicott. Quinn scored four touchdowns – including the last 21 points of the game – against Western New England in a 52-31 victory for the Colonels on Saturday. He finished with 233 yards on 28 carries.
This game featured outstanding rushing performances from both teams. The Golden Bears got 135 yards and 3 touchdowns from Matt LaMontagne. Matthew McGuire also broke the 100-yard mark on the ground (106.) The two teams combined for 515 yards rushing alone, nearly evenly split among WNE and Curry.
The first half featured five lead changes. The game was also tied at 31-31 when LaMontagne scored his third TD of the game early in the fourth quarter. But it was the Montie Quinn show the rest of the way.
Anthony Santino threw a pair of TD passes to Colin Ridley for the Colonels. Ridley finished 84 receiving yards.
Curry travels to Husson next Saturday. WNE returns home to host New England College.
