One of Tampa Bay’s most beloved – and longest tenured – players is sticking around for awhile longer.  And we, the fans, couldn’t be happier.

Linebacker Lavonte David agreed to another one-year deal with the Buccaneers today.  2025 will be his 14^th season, all of them in Tampa.

With the issues the Bucs must address on defense, David is not one of them.  He is consistently solid, year after year.  I would be shocked if he doesn’t end up in the Hall of Fame down the road.  The Buccaneers announced the move with the sentence, “He’s Not Done.”  No, he is not.

Good job, Bucs.  Now, take care of Chris Godwin.
