That was impressive.

This was the last game on the Buccaneers’ schedule against a team with a winning record.  Tampa Bay went across the country and whipped the Chargers in L.A., 40-17.

This was a 17-13 game at the half.  The second half was all Tampa, to the tune of 27-0.  The Bucs rushed for 223 yards.  Baker Mayfield threw four touchdown passes (and one interception.)  Mike Evans had a huge game; another 1,000-yard season is definitely in play after his performance.  And they did it against the #1 scoring defense in the NFL.  My goodness.

And the much-maligned Buccaneer defense pitched a shutout in the second half.  Heck, even Jamel Dean had an interception.  We’ve barely talked about him all year, aside from when he’s been out with an injury.

Tampa Bay has won 4 in a row, and stays in first place in the NFC South.  The Falcons play the Raiders tomorrow night.  The Bucs control their fate; if they win out, they’ll earn their fourth straight division crown.
